"ANTROPOPLASTOCENE"

(… e se dopo il covid-19 e le guerre in corso, arrivassero gli Alieni?)

Descrizione: L’opera prende ispirazione dai calchi che Giuseppe Fiorelli ideò e realizzò durante gli scavi di Pompei nell’800.
Una visione distopica del nostro presente, dove la specie umana si estingue per colpa dell’inquinamento, dalle plastiche nei mari e nella terra; dall’eccesso di dipendenza dalle tecnologie e dalle numerose nuove guerre.

L’alieno in visita sulla terra si ritrova davanti a resti pietrificati di una mano, frantumata (guerre), che ancora impugna uno smartphone, quasi come disperata ancora di salvezza (dipendenze). Tutto intorno una marea di rifiuti plastici avvolge i poveri resti (inquinamento). La cassetta che contiene l’opera rappresenta il contenitore del “campione” che l’alieno riporterà nel viaggio di ritorno, come prova dimostrativa del drammatico stato in cui versa il Pianeta Terra.

ENG_ The work is inspired by the casts that Giuseppe Fiorelli conceived and created during the excavations of Pompeii in the 19th century. A dystopian vision of our present, where the human species is becoming extinct due to pollution, plastics in the seas and on the land; excessive dependence on technologies and numerous new wars. 

The alien visiting the earth finds himself in front of the petrified remains of a hand, shattered (wars), which still holds a smartphone, almost like a desperate lifeline (addictions). All around, a tide of plastic waste envelops the poor remains (pollution). The box containing the work represents the container of the "sample" that the alien will bring back on the return journey, as demonstrative proof of the dramatic state of Planet Earth.

Materiali: Legno, cemento Portland, sabbia, colla vinilica, frattaglie di plastica (principalmente PET), vernice trasparente, vernice a spruzzo, vernice acrilica.
